I could stand here for hours
Looking out at this scene
Just watching the tide, thinking
Where has it been?
The sun setting behind me
Fills the clouds with such fire
It lifts up my spirit
And burns my desire
I want to jump in
The sea looks so inviting
But it's terrible cold
And exceedingly frightening
So I stand a while longer
And contemplate life
Then turn back for home
To my children and wife
